-Mind Tree School celebrated its Annual Day with a dazzling showcase of India’s cultural heritage, themed “Light, Colours & Celebration – A Festival of Festivals.” The event captivated the audience with a blend of drama, music, and dance, as students brought to life the essence of Indian festivals with extraordinary creativity and zeal.
The celebration began on a spiritual note with the ceremonial lamp lighting by Principal Ms. Harveen Kaur, followed by the chanting of a traditional Shloka and an enthralling Ganesh Vandana. This set the stage for a joyous journey through India’s diverse cultural tapestry.
The performances unfolded with a variety of plays and dances, each dedicated to a different festival. The journey began with the vibrant celebration of Lohri, showcasing the traditional harvest festival of Punjab. A mesmerizing Kashmiri dance transported the audience to the snow-clad valleys of Kashmir, while a heartwarming Christmas play celebrated joy, sharing, and togetherness.
The lively rhythms of a Goa dance captured the festive spirit of the coastal region, followed by a colorful Holi performance, which highlighted the exuberance of the festival of colors. The power and triumph of good over evil were beautifully portrayed in a Durga Puja sequence, while the evening concluded with the energetic beats of Garba, symbolizing unity and joy during Navratri.
Principal Ms. Harveen Kaur applauded the students for their dedication and effort in her closing remarks, emphasizing the importance of celebrating India’s rich cultural heritage. “Such events not only foster cultural understanding and unity but also help students stay connected with their roots,” she said.
