Meeting of District Level Aadhaar Monitoring Committee was held under the Chairmanship of Deepankar Garg,PCS, SDM , SAS Nagar today at District Administrative Complex Mohali.
The meeting was attended by Madhur Bansal,Project Manager UIDAI Regional Office, Chandigarh to review the status of Aadhaar enrolment and further strengthening the ecosystem. The Aadhaar authentication and Aadhaar offline verification including use of QR code for Aadhaar verification was discussed.
SDM Deepankar Garg instructed Health Department to organize Aadhaar camps in Hospitals and vaccination centers to enroll new born and children below age of 5 years. He also instructed officers to inspect Aadhaar enrolment centers regularly to ensure proper functioning. He appealed the residents to get Mandatory Bio-metric updates (MBU) done on attaining the age of 5 years and 15 years. This facility is free for children of age group 5-7 years and 15-17 years. He instructed education department to prepare roster for movement of kits in the schools for this purpose.
Project Manager UIDAI, Madhur Bansal appealed to the residents to keep their mobile number and documents updated in Aadhaar for availing various government facilities seamlessly. He informed that document update facility is free of cost till 14th September, 2024.
