The Pathology Department at Dr B R Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences Mohali organized a CME “Haematology Simplified: A Comprehensive Case-Based CME” which featured expert speakers and chairpersons in the field of haematology from PGIMER Chandigarh and various State Medical Colleges. With over 100 delegates registered, this event promised valuable learning opportunities for students and professionals.
Similarly, an inter-college quiz titled “SANGER 2024” for MBBS students was also held as a part of this. Four teams from medical colleges across Punjab participated in the event. Gian Sagar Medical College, Banur, Team was announced the winner while AIMS Mohali remained runner-up.
Additionally, the Director Principal announced a prize for the top performer in Pathology, AIMS Mohali, naming it the Datta-Uppal Pathology Award in honour of her father, Mr Avtar Singh Uppal, and the retired Professor and Head of the Department of Histopathology at PGIMER, Chandigarh, emphasizing the importance of the student-mentor relationship.
