Adding another feather to its golden cap, HMV Jalandhar received Appreciation Award for its excellent contribution in BEAT COVID Campaign of MGNCRE, MOE, Govt. of India. Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen received the award from ADC (Development) Sh. Amarjeet Bains, PCS . On this occasion Principal Dr. Ajay Sareen said that HMV has always been engaged in communally enrichment programme with full zeal and enthusiasm. Programme Coordinator Dr. Anjana Bhatia said that Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya participated under the able guidance of Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen. Students of Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar participated in different campaigns pertaining to the awareness of Covid-19. They formed various teams like Hospital Management team, Emotional Support team, Medicine team etc. and worked on the mission of Each One Reach One to beat COVID. Students imparted valuable information of this pandemic through the medium of social media. Volunteers of the college enlivened themselves to assist Covid affected people. In order to combat with this gigantic ailment, pupils informed needy people about the vaccination camps, availability of oxygen, beds, and ventilators. Further, volunteers of the college made the people aware through electronic media about different Yoga activities and meditation which are conducive for our physical and mental fitness. Moreover, students distributed masks and sanitizers among the people of their vicinity and advised them to take care of their health. In this campaign, students took a pledge to help people during this crucial period and to bring the society out of this epidemic in a successful way. On this occasion, volunteers also marked their gusto presence in distinct webinars on Covid-19, in which they made their acquaintances benefited by imparting their valuable information. Principal Dr. Sareen applauded the volunteers and inspired them to take initiatives for the welfare of our society and country.  The students worked under the guidance of teachers Mrs. Urvashi, Ms. Sonia Mahendru, Dr. Minakshi Duggal, Mrs. Pawan Kumari, Ms. Harmanu Paul and Dr. Meenu Talwar. Dr. Anjana Bhatia, Programme Coordinator also motivated the students to keep their spirit high for making the people aware about this epidemic.
