-Sangrur, 12 November 2024: The 108 Ambulance Service took an important step in community health and safety by organizing a First Responder Program (FRP) at the College of Pharmacy, Meritorious School, Ghabdan, District Sangrur. Over 100 students attended the program, eager to learn basic life-saving skills to help others in emergencies.
The FRP session was led by Dr. Neha Mandal, who shared valuable information and hands-on training in emergency care. The program aimed to prepare students to take quick and effective action in urgent situations, increasing their confidence to assist when needed.
Principal Arjot Kaur, Registrar Maninder Singh, and lecturers Dr. Ramandeep Kaur, Deepika Goyal, Bikramjit Singh, and Manjinder Kaur, along with the entire college staff, supported the event, emphasizing the importance of learning first-response skills.
Manish Batra, Project Head of 108 Ambulance, praised the initiative, saying, “Our goal is not only to provide emergency transport but also to prepare people to be first responders in their communities. Programs like this help create a community that is ready to step in and save lives when it matters most.”
