Emergency, helmed by Kangana, goes in-depth on one of the controversial and tumultuous chapters in India’s history — an era when democracy was put on pause, and the country found itself at a crossroads. Indira’s journey is powered with Kangana’s powerful performance as she plays Indira Gandhi and Anupam Kher as Jayaprakash Narayan, the outing gives viewers a high-octane political experience depicting the fight between unlimited power and the essence of democracy itself.
