The Burning Chaffees, written by Balram Singh Mehta, is the inspiration for Pippa. Raja Krishna Menon directs Raja Krishna Menon’s war tank film tells the story of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, which resulted in the creation of Bangladesh. Ishaan plays a young brigadier who fought on the eastern front as part of the 45th Cavalry tank squadron in this film.

Raja Krishna Menon states, “ We’re delighted to give you an advance peek at PIPPA on our 75th Independence Day. This is a small sampling of the movie we’ve been working on and caring for. We look forward to seeing you in cinemas on December 2, 2022.”
Producer Ronnie Screwvala says, “We are just beginning to tell the stories of our war hero’s and India’s many strategic moves in war and peace over the last 75 years of our Independence—a world power—that have made us. PIPPA was established in 1971, against the backdrop of one of the largest refugee migrations in modern history that led to the liberation and creation of a country, a story that must be told. We cannot wait for the magnitude of this historic film to be revealed to the world on December 2, 2022.”
