-Bathinda: Retired IAS Parampal Kaur Sidhu the BJP candidate from Bathinda Lok Sabha constituency assured the victims of fire at Oriya Colony that she would try to build houses for them under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
After getting information from people of Oriya Colony about the fire incident, Parampal rushed to the spot. She immediately made arrangements for their food and temporary accommodation for victims. She also talked to local authorities and urged them to help the people.
She assured that she would soon try to arrange for the permanent houses for them under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme.
While lashing out at AAP, Congress and Akali Dal, Parampal said that despite fire victims lost their belongings and were hungry and thirsty the leaders of these three parties would happily come to ask for votes, but they have no time to share the pain and sufferings of the people in this hour of need.
After the incident of the fire in Oriya Colony, where two innocent children lost their lives, neither the local MLA of the Aam Aadmi Party nor the MP of the Akali Dal deemed fit to meet the victims and tried to know their agony, she said.
Now the people have only hope from PM Narendra Modi and the BJP, she maintained.
