February 18, 2024, witnessed the dazzling display of prowess as eight delegates from the Speaker’s Association And Study Circle (SAASC) at Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh, showcased their talents at the esteemed SD Model United Nations (MUN) competition. Hosted at GGDSD College, Chandigarh, this event spanned from February 16th to 17th, 2024.

Diverse roles were shouldered by SAASC delegates across three distinguished committees: UNGA, G20, and Lok Sabha. Through engaging in-depth discussions and deliberations on various motions and diplomatic policies, they left an indelible mark.
Excellence in the G20 Committee
Avi Sinha, a Mechanical Engineering 2nd Year student, represented Italy with unparalleled finesse, clinching the prestigious title of Best Delegate.
Recognition in the Lok Sabha
Pranav Dhariwal, also a Mechanical Engineering 2nd Year student, exhibited exceptional parliamentary acumen while representing Abhishek Banerjee, earning a well-deserved Special Mention.
Brilliance in the UNGA
Atinder Singh, an Electrical Engineering 1st Year student, representing Cambodia, secured a High Commendation. Rishav Rai, a Computer Science Engineering 2nd Year student, representing Costa Rica, received an Honourable Mention, alongside Jayant Jain, a Computer Science Engineering 1st Year student, representing Iran.
