Mohali, November 20, 2022: Fortis Hospital, Mohali, today organized the Zonal Finals of the 6th edition of its National Psychology quiz programme ‘PSYCH-ED, 2022’ and Delhi Public School, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow battled other schools in the zone to enter the National finals.
The First Runners Up was La Blossoms School, Jalandhar while the Second Runners Up was St. Kabir Public School, Chandigarh.
Psych-ED, the National level annual psychology quiz for school students organized by Fortis Healthcare, saw the participation of more than 900 schools in its 6th edition held earlier today. As the online round of Psych-ED went live, more than 12,000 participants from over 215 cities across India participated in the quiz simultaneously. The quiz is designed for students from Class XI & XII, aiming to test their knowledge of Psychology and its concepts.
The quiz was conceptualized and executed under the aegis of Dr. Samir Parikh, Director, Department of Mental Health & Behavioural Sciences, Fortis Healthcare Limited. The objective of the quiz is to impart learning while ensuring that the discipline remains engaging and fun for the students. The initiative is supported by GD Goenka University, Project CACA, Rupa Publications and Get-A-Whey Ice Creams.
The schools that qualified for the Zonal Finals were: La Blossoms School, Jalandhar, St. Kabir School, Chandigarh, Stalwarts World School, Amritsar, Bal Bharati Public School, Dugri, Springdale Senior School, Amritsar, Chitkara International School, Chandigarh, DAV Public School, Ludhiana, Budha Dal Public School, Patiala, Delhi Public School, Chandigarh, DPS, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Sr Sec School, Ludhiana, and Army Public School, Udhampur.
Winning team from DPS, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, comprising of Maisha Mrigwani, Ajita Singh and Padmini Sah, said, “We are so excited to be going to Delhi! We’d like to thank our Psychology teacher the most- we were quite nervous, but she believed in us and helped us prepare. Let’s get PSYCH-ED!”
