-Panchkula, December 19, 2024: Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula, successfully hosted its two-day annual event, Satluj Pride. This year was the 48th edition of the program, themed “New India: Forging Futures, Celebrating Culture.”
On the last day of the event, The Chief Guest Mr Alok Kumar Roy IPS Director General of Police (DGP) Railways and Commando; Guest of Honour Ms Anjum Moudgil Olympian Arjuna Awardee former World No. 1 first Indian woman shooter to win medals at the World Championships and cleaning up at the Commonwealth Games.
In attendance were Mr. Krit Serai Co-Chair/ Director-Principal, Mr. Reekrit Serai Managing Director of Satluj Group of Schools, Co-Prin1cipal Ms. Madhurima Serai entrepreneur and philanthropist Mrs. Radhika Panickar Serai Mr. Gur K Serai Co-Chairman/Director-Principal of Satluj Public School Sector 2 Panchkula Ms. Preet Mangat Serai.
The ceremonious opening included traditional lighting of the lamp and a Saraswati Vandana and was subsequently followed by a line of performances by the students that invoked a feeling of encouragement and inspiration. Class 5 performed “The World Is Our Stage” and Class 6, “Legends and Leaders.” Another focused on “Innovators of Tomorrow: A Celebration of Creativity, Technology, and Innovation.”
Addressing the gathering, Alok Kumar Roy, Chief Guest for the day, appreciated the zeal and fervour of the students of Satluj Public School. He added that events like such are imperative for mental growth of students and to make the bright future of the country. He praised the school for not just academic excellence but also imbibing students with cultural mores.
Anjum Moudgil, the Guest of Honour said, “It is awesome to be part of this grand event.” The theme “Celebration of Culture” also struck a chord with her as an athlete, she noted, adding that culture, along with discipline, are the two things that form the basis of all success.
Mr. Reekrit Serai, Managing Director, Satluj Group of Schools congratulated the students, teaching faculty and all others involved in making the event successful. Such events, he said, not only foster students’ creativity and performance but also allow them to realize their cultural heritage and individual ability. Programs like these allow students to practice skills that they will use throughout all areas of life, now and in the future.
The program ended with the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour and management of school giving away awards to students for their extraordinary performances.
