-The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality company, today announced plans to build a Taj hotel in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, which will be one of the country’s largest convention centers.

She stated that this step aligns with IHCL’s strategic goal of expanding its presence in India’s major business and leisure hubs. Indore, known as the commercial and financial hub of central India, is an ideal choice for this expansion. Located on the new Super Corridor in Indore, the 350-room hotel is conveniently close to major IT campuses and a short drive away from industrial hubs and popular leisure destinations. Guests can indulge in a variety of cuisines at the all-day dining restaurant, specialty restaurant, bar, and lobby lounge. The hotel offers an array of leisure and recreational activities, such as a swimming pool, spa, fitness center, and various sports and entertainment options. Boasting approximately 50,000 square feet of versatile event spaces, the property aims to become a premier convention center in Central India. IHCL has 12 hotels in Madhya Pradesh across Taj, SeleQtions, Vivanta and Ginger brands, including four currently under development, with this hotel being a major transit point for pilgrimage to the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain.
