Moga, November 29, 2023: In a proactive move towards enhancing emergency medical response in Punjab, 108 Ambulance services, a distinguished healthcare service provider, conducted a comprehensive First Responder Program at ISF College of Pharmacy in Ghal Kalan, Moga. The initiative aimed to equip students with essential first aid skills, enabling them to effectively manage medical emergencies.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed individuals, including Cluster Manager Pankaj Saini, FRP Trainer Jaswinder Singh, Prof. (Dr.) G.D. Gupta (Director-cum-Principal, ISF College of Pharmacy, Moga), Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Narang (Principal, ISF College of Pharmacy and Research, Moga), Mrs. Karishma Agarwal (HOD, Department of D.Pharm, ISFCP, Moga), and Mr. Anupam Awasthi (Assistant Professor).
Recognizing the unpredictable nature of contemporary times, the training, facilitated by Ziqitza, emphasized the importance of maintaining regular health check-ups. FRP Trainer Mr. Jaswinder Singh provided insightful guidance on administering first aid in critical situations such as CPR, heart attacks, bleeding, fractures, snake bites, fainting, choking, hypoglycemia, and more. The students witnessed practical demonstrations, offering a hands-on understanding of how emergency cases are efficiently managed.
With an enthusiastic participation of over 100 students, the Training Program proved to be a valuable initiative in fostering a culture of preparedness and proactive healthcare awareness among the future leaders of the medical community.
Divulging details about the Program, Mr. Manish Batra, Project Head of Ziqitza Healthcare, said “Our main aim of organizing this event in College was to enlighten the students about the significance of First Aid. i.e how it helps minimize the seriousness of the injury if provided timely to patients.
In the contemporary world, it has become significant to be attentive to the role of First aid especially during medical emergencies. Therefore, we hope that our program comes as a helping hand because “The best and most efficient pharmacy is within our own system.” And I believe that it becomes an inner sense of happiness when an individual observes his help becoming life-saving for another. We will keep on organizing Such Programs for the betterment of Society.”
