-Chandigarh November 21, 2024: Rev. Joginder Sukheja Ji, Secretary of the Sant Nirankari Mandal, shared that a unique and inspiring event of Nirankari Mass Simple Weddings was held today at the Sant Nirankari Spiritual Complex in Samalkha. The event showcased a remarkable display of simplicity and spirituality. Nearly 96 newly-wed couples from various states of India, such as Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal, as well as from distant countries like Australia and the USA, united in holy matrimony in the sacred presence of Satguru Mata Sudiksha Ji Maharaj and Nirankari Rajpita Ji. They received blessings for a happy and prosperous married life.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Nirankari Mission officials, parents, relatives of the bride and groom, and numerous devotees of the Mission, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed the divine spectacle.
The mass marriage ceremony began with traditional Jaimala (garland exchange) and the symbolic Sanjha Haar (shared garland), which is unique to Nirankari weddings. The event’s highlight was the devotional rendition of the Nirankari Laavan in Hindi for the first time, accompanied by devotional music. Each line of the Laavan imparted meaningful teachings for a harmonious and fulfilling married life. The newly-wed couples were showered with flowers and blessings by Satguru Mata Ji, Nirankari Rajpita Ji, and all present, ensuring their well-being and prosperity.
This annual event, known for its simplicity, rises above narrow distinctions of caste, religion, race, and language, exemplifying unity and harmony.
While blessing the newly-wed couples, Satguru Mata Ji emphasized that in the sacred bond of marriage, both man and woman hold equal importance, with no one being superior or inferior. She highlighted the bond as a symbol of good partnership.
Satguru Mata Ji drew attention to the significance of the Sanjha Haar as a symbol of unity. She encouraged the couples to embrace respect and responsibility in their relationships, giving equal importance to all family bonds. She urged them to lead a happy life by balancing worldly duties with spiritual practices such as service, devotion, and prayer, always relying on the Supreme Nirankar.
The gathering beautifully displayed the union of families from different regions, symbolizing unity in diversity. Satguru Mata Ji concluded the ceremony with heartfelt wishes and blessings for a joyous and fulfilling life for all the newly-wed couples.
