Famous music video director Kamalpreet Johny told this writer during a recent shoot in Chandigarh that he hails from Sirhind town of district Fatehgarh Sahib. He was inclined towards films and music since childhood. He used to go out often to watch the shooting of video films happening around the city. He used to regularly participate in cultural programs in school. This hobby of his gradually turned into a passion.
After completing his studies, Kamalpreet Johny entered the field of video direction with the support and encouragement of his family. For a long time, he stayed in the company of famous directors and gained knowledge of direction. This talented video director of around 38 years told that he pays special attention to the quality of his videos so that they stand the expectations of the audience. This sweet natured director told that around 20 years ago he started his direction career with the music video Titled “College” of famous singer Gurkirpal Surapuri. After the great success of this video, Kamalpreet Johny never looked back and kept climbing the ladder of success.
Kamalpreet Johny told that in the last few years he has directed more than five hundred music videos of different singers, like Gurkirpal Surapuri, Balraj, Malkit Singh, Harjeet Harman, Manpreet Shergill, Afsana Khan, Neha Kakkar, A.K, Ninja, Honey Singh and Manmohan Waris are prominent among these video projects. Apart from this, he has also given chance to more than 100 video male- female models.
Kamalpreet Johny told that now he wants to try his luck in Bollywood.
