Chandigarh: 05th June 2021: State Bank of India today celebrated World Environment Day at its Local Head Office, Sector – 17 Chandigarh. Sh. Anukool Bhatnagar, Chief General Manager, SBI Chandigarh Circle along with CMC members planted saplings which reflected Bank’s concern for environment conservation and spread positive message across the society that the largest bank of the nation also cares for the mother nature. A pledge was also taken by all staff members for conservation of environment. After administering the pledge, Sh. Bhatnagar observed that Sustainability is one of the core values of SBI. He expressed the concern on increased air pollution and its ill effects in our daily life which can be reduced by planting trees.
On this occasion Smt. Asha Mishra Vice-President of SBI Ladies Club, Chandigarh along with other members of the club also planted tree saplings and sponsored Personal Accidental Insurance of all the drivers of vehicles at Local Head Office, Chandigarh as a protective measure.
