Journalism is considered as the fourth pillar of democracy in our country because it is the democratic way of expressing the expression of the masses. This was stated by Vinod Kohli member press council of India in the Chandigarh Press Club during the 19th Young Journalist’s Honour Day on Sunday.
Those facilitated for their contribution in the field of journalism in addition to felicitation of a student from Mass Communication Correspondence department of Panjab University.
During the occasion senior journalist Baljit Parmar said that in the way journalism has taken new techniques during the past, challenges have also increased for the youth. Trustee member Baljit Marwaha said that every year on 3 April the contribution of young journalists is celebrated. The Trust has so far honored 68 journalists from across the country.
This time JASNEET Singh from Sikh news express channel Delhi & topper of mass communication correspondence from Panjab University Chandigarh ,harshita Verma facilitated by Vinod Kohli member press council of India & senior journalist Baljit Parmar. Founder of Shiv Sena hind party Nishant Sharma, Journalist Amarpal Noorpuri, ranju arey, ,Navin Sharma, Mansaram Rawat ,Ramesh Sachdeva were also present.
